Ingredients

  • 3 ripe tomatoes (about pounds), quartered
  • 1 rib celery with leaves, cut into 2-inch pieces

Method

  1. Combine the tomatoes, celery, carrot, onion, garlic, and basil in a food processor, in batches if necessary, and purée until smooth.
  2. Transfer the purée to a 4-quart microwave-safe bowl. Stir in the Worcestershire sauce. Cook at full power (650 to 700 watts), uncovered,
