Make a Kuchen Dough, No. 1, 2 or 3, roll one inch thick, cut into rounds with biscuit cutter. Place a piece of jelly or preserves in the center of one-half of them. Brush edges with white of egg and cover with the other half. Press edges neatly. Place on well floured board, let raise very light and fry in deep fat until brown. When done they will have a white strip around center. Sprinkle with powdered sugar.
