  • 100 g ( oz) dried macaroni
  • 1 x 80 g ( oz) can of tuna in vegetable oil
  • 4 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • salt and freshly ground pepper
  • ½ cucumber, very thinly sliced
  • ¼ onion, very finely chopped
  • ½ slice of ham, cut into matchsticks


Cook the macaroni according to the instructions on the packet, then drain and leave to cool. Drain the tuna and flake with a fork. Combine the tuna with the mayonnaise and season with salt and pepper. Mix the cucumber with a pinch of salt and set aside for 5 minutes, then squeeze out the excess liquid with your hands. Soak the onion in a bowl of water for 5 minutes to soften its flavour, then drain well. Mix all the ingredients together thoroughly before serving.
