Ingredients

  • 4 egg whites
  • 1 cup whipping cream
  • 1 cup sifted sugar

Method

Beat egg whites until they hold up peaks. Add sugar gradually, beating egg whites after each addition. Bake in slow oven for one hour.

Whip cream until stiff. Add sugar and rum to taste. Spread on cooled meringue and top with mixed fruits such as pineapple, apples, prunes, pears, peaches, apricots.
