Turmeric and Cinnamon Spiced Oats with Fresh Raspberries and Maple Syrup

This recipe was kindly shared with us by my friend and food stylist, Luisa Farelo. It’s just gently spiced with cinnamon and turmeric, which gives it a warm golden hue that can only leave you smiling.

Ingredients

  • cups full-cream milk or rice milk, plus extra for serving
  • ¼ tsp ground cinnamon

Method

What to do

  1. Place the milk into a saucepan together with the cinnamon, turmeric, salt and nutmeg.
  2. Add the oats and bring to a gentle simmer.
  3. Simmer the oats for 8–10 minutes, stirring occasionally until thickened slightly and creamy.
  4. Pour into bowls and scatter with raspberries and toasted sunflower seeds.
  5. Drizzle over
