  • About
I could rave about the brilliance of the hemp plant, its many benefits and how shamefully under-used it is. Hemp butter is a traditional Latvian spread made from hemp seeds and their oil, and it has been enjoying something of a renaissance in recent years.

If you want to make it at home, you should be able to find unhulled hemp seeds and hempseed oil at health-food shops or online (I get mine from forestwholefoods.co.uk or hollandandbarrett.com). Note, however, that unhulled hemp seeds are impossible to get hold of, or even illegal, in some countries — in which case, you can replace them with the hulled variety.
