  • About
Its name translates to ‘seven-flavour chilli’ and refers to the number of ingredients used to make this seasoning mix. Typically it contains chilli, orange peel, black and white sesame seeds, sansho pepper, ginger, seaweed and hemp seed, but different brands will vary. It’s indispensable as a condiment for Japanese ramen, noodles, salads and rice. Sprinkle it over roast chicken wings, pork chops and grilled steak and experience its magic taste. If you can’t find it, substitute an equal mix of mild ground chilli powder, lemon zest and toasted sesame seeds.
