  • About

Born in 1966, Miguel Ângelo is a Fire horse. He fell in love with music and the places it could take him to at an early age. It was just a minute from a jukebox in Estoril to attending rock shows at the Pavilhão do Dramático in Cascais. Another minute to his band’s first rehearsals in a small room in the centre of Cascais, with those who would be known as the Delfins for 25 years and always. In between, there were long hours spent listening to records and writing songs while working on an architecture degree. Then came the road, first the entire map of Portugal including its islands, then through Europe and from Brazil to Australia, from South Africa to Lapland – always an open road always looking for new challenges and opportunities. In his free time he performed in plays directed by Carlos Avilez, dubbed voices for animation (most famously Woody in Toy Story), composed film soundtracks (Adeus, Pai and Zona J), was active in the fight against compulsory military service and for the independence of East Timor, wrote novels and even an autobiography (just the first half). He also became the father to two children in the 90s who grew up close to him and who now are embarking on their own paths. Recently, he became a father once again, soon after setting out on a solo career and a new marriage. He lives music like he lives love: heated up.
