Powdered sugar, which you might also see labeled as confectioner’s sugar, icing sugar, or 10x sugar, is a very finely ground white sugar. It is also mixed with an anticaking agent, such as cornstarch, to prevent clumping. Powdered sugar dissolves extremely quickly into baked goods, and because of the starch, it can create a very tender final product.
