Method
  1. Grasp the body in one hand and the head and tentacles in the other. Pull firmly to separate. If using tentacles, cut the head away and discard.
  2. Pull the quill (the transparent cartilage) out from inside the body and discard it. Remove and discard any white membrane.
  3. Under cold water, pull away the skin. The flaps can also be used. Use the body (tubes), flap and tentacles whole, or cut the body into rings.
