  • About
Avocados don’t ripen well on the tree, but firm, unripe avocados will ripen at room temperature after 3–4 days. To speed this up, put them in a bowl or in a paper bag with fruit that give off ethylene gas (such as a ripe apple or banana), which speeds up the ripening process. Avocados should feel tender or give slightly at the stem end when ripe.
