  • About

mirliton a French term for a small, sweet tartlet made of puff pastry usually with an almond filling. However, according to Theodora FitzGibbon (1976), a type particularly associated with Rouen has an egg, sugar, and butter filling, flavoured with orange flower water. English bakewell tart is similar but larger.
