  • About

[N.B.—It was Miss Dorothy Hartley also who gave me the name of Mr. James Leach, oatcake baker, 24 Hardcastle Yard, High Street, Skipton, and who was thus the means of West Riding Oatcake being featured daily at Simpson’s, in the Strand. When this delicious West Riding Oatcake was mentioned in a letter to The Times on September 10th, 1931, over three hundred people wrote and asked for the maker’s name and address. Other interesting information concerning these oatcakes will be found—Ed.]
