Garlic chives, sometimes called “Chinese” chives, are members of the onion family. They have a mild garlic flavor and are often used in dumplings and stir-fries. The leaf is long and flat and they are sold in bunches. Although their flavor is not exactly the same, you can substitute regular chives or use the tops of green onions.
