Udon Noodles

Udon noodles are made from wheat and water. They are white, thick and most often round in shape. They are used in soups and have a chewy but smooth texture. They are commonly available dried in the U.S., but fresh udon can be found in the refrigerator (or freezer) sections in Asian groceries.
