Caraili the Trinidadian name for a long green knobbly fruit, commonly known as ‘bitter melon’, or karela in Asia or cerassie or corilla in Jamaica. It is often used in teas to aid digestion or can be eaten in dishes or sauces where its bitter flavour adds depth.
