Leftover Cake

Some of them — like the Caramel Brownie Sundae — are from our street food menu and make delicious puddings. Other ideas, like the Filled Savoury Scone and Toasted Cake, are great ways of using cake that might be about to go stale. Recipes like Cake Truffles and Leftover Cake Tiffin were born out of hating waste but have become so popular in the bakery we now have to bake cake specially for them. In some cases, like the Brioche Bread & Butter Pudding and Sticky Bun French Toast, it’s worth doubling the recipe just so you can make these. And it might seem crazy to include something as simple as heating up cake, but our Hot Mess (hot cake with ice cream and our chocolate sauce) is a huge seller and it would feel all sorts of wrong not to mention it here.
