Ancient Rituals

All traditional Chinese festivals are based around the lunar calendar rather than the Gregorian calendar, and they hold a special place in the lives of the people. Many celebrations have remained unchanged for centuries, with traditional dress, music and dancing. The foods that accompany the festivals are also entrenched in age-old ritual.
