  • About
Christmas and New Year are big celebrations for all Danes. Christmas Eve is the main Christmas dinner, and usually includes roast duck, goose or pork belly, depending on family tradition. Easter is marked with gravlax. In the summer, barbecues are lit at the first sign of sunshine and everyone is out grilling pork and seafood – any excuse to be outside. On the longest day of the year, bonfires are lit on the coasts and people gather to celebrate.
