Actually, this is more than I would normally prepare for a simple dinner at home. I’d probably not make a dessert, ending up with a piece of cheese and/or fruit or ice cream after dinner or later in the evening. But this would be a manageable menu for having guests for a friendly, not overly elaborate dinner. Note that this meal has no separate first course; if you like, put out a few olives, such as kalamatas, with a predinner glass of white wine. Or you could make The Best Cheese Wafers the day before.
