  • About
What is it?
Colourful crackers of tapioca, rice or potato starch.
They’re typically unflavoured with a texture that is similar to prawn crackers. They’re the reason I agreed to go to Indian weddings as a kid because the buffet table was never in short supply of them. Food that speaks to your inner 5-year-old is the best. Buy dried far far by the packet. They come in a wealth of different colours and shapes, from tubes and waffles to stars and twists.
How do you eat it?
Far far are ready to deep-fry straight from the packet (the oil needs to be very hot). Fry just a few at a time since they puff to an absurdly large size in seconds. You won’t believe your eyes.
