Time your visit to Zugdidi to coincide with lunch or dinner. Diaroni is the best restaurant in Zugdidi, and to my mind one of the best in Georgia, and well worth a visit if you’re on your way up or down from Svaneti. I’ve eaten here many times and have never been disappointed. When I last went, they were preparing to move next door to bigger, more airy dining rooms with new kitchens. The current interior is of dark wood with very little daylight, but the food and atmosphere more than make up for that.
