Lily Soups

Onions, leeks and garlic are all members of the lily family so it makes sense to group them together. Onion soup, in particular, has unfortunately lost its reputation simply through bad cooking. When onion soup appears on a menu it could mean anything; however, in the bowl it says more about the cook than any other soup. It is unfortunate that bad cooks turn lilies into weeds.
