Lucio Galletto OAM was born into a family of restaurateurs in Liguria, Italy where he met & married and Australian girl, and moved to Sydney. They established Lucio’s Restaurant in Paddington in 1983. This family restaurant enjoys a remarkable reputation for superb Italian food and magnificent Australian Art and thrives on the splendid tradition of exceptional hospitality.
Lucio’s has been consistently recognized over many years and currently holds 2 hats in the SMH Good Food Guide where Lucio also received the Silver Service Award 2009, and has retained 2 stars in Australian Gourmet Traveller. The Australian newspaper also awarded Lucio’s as Hot Classic in their Hottest Top 50 Guide.
On a more personal note Lucio was awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia in the Queens Birthday Honours June 2008. "For service to the community through contributions as a restaurateur and author, and to the support of arts organisations."
