Dividing her time between Austin, San Francisco, and the Texas Gulf Coast, MM Pack writes about food and cooks for a living. She’s a regular contributor to The Austin Chronicle, Edible Austin, and Sugar & Rice; she’s published in Gastronomica, The San Francisco Chronicle, Digest, Oxford Encyclopedia of Food & Drink in America, Nation’s Restaurant News, Food History News, Scribner's Encyclopedia of Food and Culture, The Dictionary of Culinary Biography, and Cornbread Nation. She does presentations about Texas food history for museums, conferences, universities, and culinary groups, and is working on a book about the foods that have shaped Texas.
