Zoe Perrett

Food writer and blogger

https://amuse-bouche.uk/
This food writer isn’t sure what she loves most; Indian food or chocolate. So she started a blog for each of those interests. Zoe is also quite keen on cookbooks, having amassed an impressive 1,500 from around the world. She’s quick to caution of the perils of accruing such a collection. Not only have they taken over her tiny country cottage, but some ended up on her head after a small book-based avalanche. Although Zoe is fairly sure that she is still in possession of most of her marbles, maintaining alter egos as both The Spice Scribe and The Cocoa Nut can make her feel somewhat schizophrenic. As well as penning posts for her own blogs, you’ll find Zoe musing about chocolate, spice and all things nice for Good Things, Foodepedia, DESIblitz, Chaat!, Love Food, View London, Brummell Magazine, The Spice Tailor, and the Times of India. Zoe believes there’s far more to Indian cuisine than curry, but she also believes you can use Curry For Change - and so has long been an ardent ambassador and advisor for the same-named campaign masterminded by charity Find Your Feet. Supperclubs and start-up food companies also have her full support; especially if they ply her with their wares. A word of warning: this girl can be pretty judgemental - as evidenced by her presence on panels at Grillstock, the International Chocolate Awards, the Academy of Chocolate Awards and The Great British Spiced Chocolate Challenge. Given her areas of expertise, she suspects the latter role was tailor-made for her. There’s probably a cookbook or two in Zoe sometime in the future - but for now, there’s plenty of the things all around her.
