Lithuania has a thing about doughnuts. Everywhere I went, there they were — I even ate meat and buckwheat ones! In Kaunas there’s a Soviet-style establishment, which serves the best, freshly cooked doughnuts in town for small change. Doughnuts are always best eaten warm — the next day they are nowhere near as good, which I feel is the perfect excuse to have more than one!
