  • About

Golden butter method cakes are made with egg yolks only and are the richest and most tender of all cakes of this type. Just be careful with the baked layers; they are more fragile than the others, which have more firmness and elasticity due to the presence of egg whites.

Ingredients

  • 390 g plain flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • ¼ teaspoon

Method

Prepare the batter according to the master recipe for White Butter Cake, whisking the egg yolks and soured cream together in step 3. Mix, bake, cool and store the same way.
