A twist on a Tommy’s margarita using mezcal instead of tequila to add smokiness, and ouzo and Aleppo chilli for an Eastern Mediterranean flavour.
First prep your glasses to impress. Mix the Aleppo chilli and sugar and lay it out on a small plate. Wipe the lime wedge around the rim of each glass, then dip the wet edge into the chilli sugar.
