The first kitchen I stepped into in NYC was Aquavit, the amazing Swedish-inspired restaurant from Marcus Samuelsson. One thing that really stood out was the massive vats of homemade aquavit they had. I’d never heard of it before I left Scotland, but I fell in love with it immediately. I like drinking it instead of gin with tonic and ice, but it’s also great used in cocktails or drunk as a shot.
