Prepare the chocolate cake batter. Use the ingredients given opposite. Place the rectangular frame on a lined baking sheet, or use a cake pan. Pour the batter into the pan or frame and bake for about 8 to 10 minutes, until a knife tip or cake tester comes out dry. Leave to cool and cut out eight disks the same size as the pastry circles.
