Getting the kids to eat vegetables can be tricky, but offering them as a small snack rather than part of a main meal might just be all it takes.


  • 350 g/12 oz/ cups frozen edamame beans

  1. Bring a pan of water to the boil, add the frozen edamame beans and simmer for 3 minutes.
  2. Meanwhile, dry fry the seeds in a non-stick frying pan for 2 minutes, stirring until lightly toasted and the sesame seeds are just beginning to jump about in the pan. Drizzle over the soy sauce and maple syrup and stir together, then take off the heat.
