Ingredients

  • 2-lb. boneless beef roast, cut into 6 serving-size pieces
  • ½ lb. salt pork or bacon, cut up
  • 3 onions, chopped
  • pepper to taste
  • water

Ideal Slow Cooker Size: 4-Quart

Method

  1. Place beef and pork in slow cooker.
  2. Sprinkle onions over top of meat.
  3. Add pepper to taste.
  4. Pour water in alongside meat, about 1-inch deep.
  5. Cook on Low 6–8 hours.
  6. Serve over mashed potatoes, cooked rice, or pasta.
