    • 1 pound frozen peas
    • 4 level tablespoons butter
    • 4 tables


    Place peas in a small saucepan; cover with cold water and cook over a high heat until the water boils. Remove from the heat and drain. Replace peas in the saucepan; add butter and chicken stock; season to taste with salt and sugar, and simmer over a low heat until the peas have absorbed the liquid and are tender.
