This is a juice that I prefer with milk; it makes me feel like having a healthful and delicious milk shake. When making with milk, it is called sorbete instead of jugo. It has an astringent flavor, which I think complements many meals just beautifully.

Ingredients

  • 2 curubas* (about cup)
  • 3 tablespoons sugar
  • 1

Method

  1. Cut the curubas in half and remove the pulp with a spoon. Place the pulp in a blender with ½ cup of water and the sugar. Blend and pass through a sieve.
  2. Return the liquid to the blender; add the ice, blend, and serve immediately.
