  • 4 turnips (about 1 pound)

Method

  1. Peel the turnips and cut them in half lengthwise. Then cut them into ¼-inch-thick slices.
  2. Cut the pears in half. Core them, and cut into ¼-inch-thick slices.
  3. Melt the butter in a large skillet, and sauté the turnips until golden and crisp-tender, 6 to 8 minutes.
