  • About

Made from a simple dough of flour and water, dumpling wrappers sometimes called “wonton” or gyozo skins come in circles or squares approximately 3 inches/7.5 cm in diameter. They are stacked about 50 to a package, with flour dusting the top of each surface to keep them from sticking to one another. These wrappers are found in the refrigerated fruit or produce sections in Asian grocery stores and in most supermarkets.

They freeze well and must be defrosted before using. Small amounts of filling are encased in these little dough purses which are boiled, steamed or fried. They are eaten alone as appetizers or in soups.
