Different measurements and conversions are used around the world. For example, the general agreement is that 28.35 grams is equal to 1 ounce. However, in New Zealand 25 grams is often used as the equivalent to 1 ounce.

On this page we have provided a range of conversions as well as some that are specific to Ripe Recipes. Whatever measurement system you use, keep it consistent and there will be a greater chance the recipe will be a success.

OVEN TEMPERATURE
1 cup soft brown sugar 160g (6 oz)
1 cup white or caster sugar 220g (8 oz)
1 cup plain, self-rising or wholewheat flour 150g (5 oz)
1 cup icing sugar 150g (5 oz)
1 cup cocoa powder 100g (4oz)
1 cup basil, parsley, coriander, baby spinach, rocket & mint 40g (1.4oz)
1 cup Parmesan cheese grated 80g (3oz)
