Born and bred in the bayous of Louisiana, Amber Wilson is immersed in Southern culture. She grew up cooking at the apron strings of strong, Cajun women.
With an environmental science degree, Amber kept her passion for cooking on the backburner, and although offered a job with NASA after college, she decided to pursue Southern cooking and writing. She has fully immersed herself in sharing recipes and stories about her beloved South.
Her passion for her culture and cooking birthed a blog entitled For the Love of the South, where Amber tells her tales of growing up in the South and showcases her innovative and traditional Southern recipes. Saveur and PBS voted hers as one of the Best Food Blogs, and she has been blessed to partner with brands like Coca-Cola and Tabasco. She has also been featured on Bon Appétit.com, Food 52, Fox News, Southern Living, Zeit Magazine, Buzzfeed.com, CNTraveler.com, The Cooking Channel, HuffPost Taste, Food & Wine, and InStyle.com.
