This was my first cookbook at the age of 10. To me it is one of the best basic cookbooks that a young person can have in their collection and to learn from
You not only have the recipes that they loved but you get a travel log along with them. Vincent was a very accomplished cook and grew up around food and cooking. His Grandfather formed the Price Baking Powder Co in the late 1800's and he later sold it to Royal Baking Powder Co in 1915.
What is not to like about this book, no matter what you like to eat or what your eating style is this is a perfect book to have. Whether you are vegetarian, vegan, or you like meat, fish or fowl, these recipes can serve you delicious dishes for your taste and table. Included is a wealth of information on how to buy and store grains, produce, eggs and cheese.
Chef Louis was not only a great chef he had one of the largest cookbook and ephemera (27,000+),of which we were able to supply him with a few 100.
I like this book because you know every recipe has been tested and will turn out like it should when you cook it. Some cookbooks do not have tested recipes and sometimes they don't work.
This is one of my personal favorites.
An early spice book that gives you the history of the spices. Along with the Flavor Bible you will never need any other spice books.
Authentic Italian cooking at its best.
Nothing else needs to be said about this book. Julia ws one of the best.
