Ingredients

  • 2 broiler-fryers (not over lbs. each), split in halves
  • 1 lemon, quartered

Method

  • Rub chicken halves on both sides with lemon (squeeze lemon to bring out juice); brush with butter.
  • Mix together salt, pepper, paprika and sugar; sprinkle lightly over chicken.
  • Place in broiler pan, skin side down. Place pan in bottom of broiler. Turn chicken after 20 minutes and raise closer to heat Baste occasionally to insure even browning. Broil 25 t
