Chocolate brownies are always popular but can be loaded with sugar. This version replaces some of the sugar with naturally sweet bananas and is a great way to use up those that have gone a little soft in the fruit bowl, plus they are a good source of potassium which helps to regulate blood pressure.

Ingredients

  • 100 g/ oz gluten-free dark (bittersweet) chocolate, broken into pieces
  • 75 g/

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C/350°F/Gas 4. Cut a square of baking parchment a little larger than a 20cm/8in square shallow cake tin or pan, snip the paper diagonally into the corners then press the paper into the tin so that the base and sides are lined.
