  • Short crust
  • egg 1
  • syrup 2 tablespoonfuls.

Method

  1. Grease a sandwich tin, or deep plate with the short crust.
  2. Beat up the egg.
  3. Warm the syrup so that it is liquid.
  4. Beat up the egg and the syrup together.
  5. Pour it into the pastry-lined tin or plate.
  6. Bake in a slow oven till a golden brown.
  7. Eat cold, when the mixture will set like a jelly.
