I love this fresh side dish. I’ve never been a fan of the classic American-style coleslaw; I much prefer the simplicity of this light dressing. I dress the salad about an hour before I want to serve it to soften the crispness of the cabbage. I use white cabbage in this recipe since it is more common in Macedonia, but you could easily make this salad with red, Savoy, or a combination of different cabbages.
