  • About

This wilted cabbage is a perfect side dish with grilled meats, especially Kremenadli (Grilled Pork Chops). I love what happens to cabbage when it is cooked down in this way; it takes on an almost noodle-like texture.

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
  • 1 medium yellow onion, sliced
  • 1 garlic clove, minced<

Method

In a large sauté pan, melt the butter over medium-high heat. Add the onion and sauté for 3 to 4 minutes until tender. Stir in the garlic and salt and sauté for an additional 2 minutes.

Reduce the heat to medium, add the cabbage, and sauté until the cabbage begins to wilt, about 10 minutes.

Remove from the heat. Stir in the red wine vinegar and dill and serve immediately.
