Boil the milk and leave to cool.
Put the almonds in a blender or food processor, add a cup of the milk and blend until the almonds are pulverized. Add the almond mixture, sugar, half the coconut and the sübye or ground rice to the milk in the pan, and heat gently, stirring. When it comes to the boil turn the heat very low and simmer for 30 minutes, stirring constantly, until it thickens
