  • Fritter batter
  • 2 large oranges, seedless if possible
  • deep oil for frying
  • caster sugar

Method

Peel the oranges very carefully, removing all the white pith, but don’t cut into the orange at all. Break into pieces of two or three segments. Dip each piece into the batter and fry in hot oil until golden brown. Serve sprinkled with more sugar.
