Amy: People matter! Both Frank and I simply enjoy people and care about people, so we are naturally inclined to prioritize the experience of working at the Bakehouse in our decision making. We want work at the bakery to be great—rewarding, interesting, and fun—for everyone. We believe that the joyful, creative engagement of people is the core of a successful organization. Recipes, systems, and equipment all matter, but it’s people who really make it happen in the moment, and who bring the innovation for the future. Providing an inspiring and supportive environment for people is therefore critical to our success. And it just feels good.
