  • About

The Creaming Method is the most commonly used method for making cookies. It is used to make a wide variety of types, including chocolate chip cookies, oatmeal raisin cookies, and most other drop cookies. Shortbread and sugar cookies are also styles of cookies that utilize the Creaming Method.

The Creaming Method gets its name from the first step of the mixing process, where butter and sugar are creamed together. This process helps to lighten and leaven your cookies. Creaming butter and sugar together also increases the volume of your cookie dough, which means more cookies!
