  • About
The British summer is now in full swing and superb locally grown produce always proves to be so much more satisfying than any foreign imports. This is one of those few times of the year when great home-grown food is always so easy to find – so it seems absurd that the supermarket shelves are full of foodstuffs from the other side of the world.
Strawberries, justifiably, must take centre stage – we can get some of the best from neighbouring Herefordshire, but there are a couple of super fruit farms almost within walking distance of the restaurant. I am always hopeful and have fingers crossed that, with some good sunshine, home-grown tomatoes can be almost as good as the Italian.
